Board of Directors – Secretary
Being secretary for The Journey Baptist Church is something special to Russell allowing him to assist our pastor in some administrative areas. As secretary, he will help obtain letters from former churches when people join our fellowship and send letters to other churches as members move. He is also keeping required legal documents in a safe place such as our I.R.S. statement of being a 501 (3) C corporation, our By-laws and Constitution, and Sales Tax Exemption documents. Russell believes he can contribute to the Board of Directors when crucial decisions are required for various contingencies due to having served in various other capacities in other churches and areas.Ordained as a deacon in 1975, Russell has served actively until shortly before joining The Journey Church. Married since 1966, Russel and his wife feel that together they can influence couples thinking of marriage or going through trying times.
